Supervision and service
The Environmental Agency manages and supervises the Geysir area. The area is patrolled all year round, and rangers are, amongst other things, responsible for maintenance and providing information.
Just outside the protected area are Hotel Geysir, Hotel Litli Geysir and shops and restaurants in Geysir Center.
There is a gas station at Geysir and it is the last gas station before undertaking Kjölur.
Within the camping area there is one camping site operated by Hotel Geysir. It is located under the southern slopes of Laugarfjall.
