Dynjandi is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Westfjords. The site‘s infrastructure has been significantly improved in recent years. Service fees have also been implemented. Construction on new viewpoints will take place this summer.

Price and how to pay

The service fee at Dynjandi is collected at the parking lots. The fee is based on the Environmental Agengy‘s price list for summer 2024:

  • Private car (5 seats): 750 kr
  • Private car (6-9 seats): 1000 kr
  • Bus (10-18 seats): 2000 kr
  • Bus (19-32 seats): 4000 kr
  • Bus (33-64 seats): 7500 kr
  • Motorcycle: 300 kr

Access to the restrooms is included in the service fee.

Visitors can pay the service fee by visiting the Environment Agency’s webpage (www.ust.is/parking) or by scanning a QR code, both the website link and QR code can be found on signs at the location.

Automatic equipment for service fee collection will be installed later this summer.

The revenue from the service fees will go to the maintenance of the area and the restrooms and conservation efforts with rangers.

Construction of new viewpoints

Dynjandi is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Westfjords. 

The site‘s infrastructure has been significantly improved in recent years as the number of visitors has increased. This summer constructions are underway for new viewpoints with connections to surrounding walking paths.

The service fees will be used for maintenance of the area and the restrooms.
